It was very nice to enjoy an afternoon tea break with a wonderful view after our long days of walking around Valencia. Green tea with a crustless BLT sandwich, pistachio cake, and egg custard pie for me just hit the spot while listening to a string quartet. We also had a beautiful view of a nice sailboat returning from a day at sea. How relaxing! Afternoon tea just might be a new tradition. 🫖☕️
Shortly after tea we attended a college alumni reception. Quite a few colleges/universities were represented and we were given some Hokie swag.
We chose the sit down dinner this time instead of the buffet. I thought I was being pampered with afternoon tea - well, the white glove treatment continued on. The waiter helped me with my chair and my napkin. He even seated us at the window with a great, soon to come, sunset. They even had plant-based options on the menu. It was perfect.
